Tonight was our last small group class for couples who are struggling with impaired fertility. It was bittersweet but there were some GREAT quotes that were said. I am only allowed to say so much due to confidentiality. But here was one of the quotes... we were talking about child birth...
"Thinking of life as a whole and giving birth to a child, it is just a moment.. just a moment out of so many other wonderful moments in time. Don't let the lack of that moment spoil all the good moments that you can have with life". We were talking about adoption at this time and the quote really hit me hard. (But this does not in any way discount the wonderful experience of childbirth. Because I know that is must be a wonderful experience... and hard one too!)
There were a lot of other quotes tonight as well and I learned a lot about IVF. I was given two great books to read and other reading material and sources to pull from. This class was beneficial to both Daniel and myself.
I'm glad to hear the class was beneficial to you both. I was just thinking about that today and wondering how it was going.
