Well... as I have aged, I have found out of course more about myself. One thing that I have noticed the most when looking at what I do/dont do.... I have become super extra picky on different items that I want to or have purchased. For instance... I have been looking for a different winter coat for a few months. What sparked this was that I am going to Chicago and realized that I have a nice red peacoat but my other heavier jacket is no less than 10 years old. It has stains on it and has seen better days. I purchased it when I was in high school. I decided that I needed to get a nicer staple in my wardrobe. I have looked at many stores, the internet, tried on jackets from my sister, etc. I saw some jackets that I really liked but the price tag was way too much for what I wanted to pay.. (think 150-200+) In my opinion, that much money is wasted. I believe that you should be able to find a good jacket for less than $100. So the hunt was on.
Yesterday before I met Alex for lunch I went into a store that I had never been in. I only had about five minutes and there it was.... THE PERFECT JACKET! My perfect jacket had to have these qualities in it... water resistant, warm, zip pockets, zip and snap up the front, a good color, waste length, classy, and an inside pocket. This fit the bill. And best of all it was discounted 75% off! I was so excited and beside myself! I asked the gal to hold the jacket for me until after lunch. She did and I picked it up and now have pretty much not taken it off because it is so warm and cozy and cute!
On another high note, Alex (iron dawg) got a job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! She is so excited and I am for her! She has been searching for over a year and found a great company and will get to travel!
Also.... only a month and a half til we go to Chicago! :)
Below is my jacket! SO CUTE!
