what a run!

So Alex and I ran 5 miles tonight..... at one point we were running a 5min30sec mile.... wooo weee. Got to get ready for bootcamp tomorrow morning at 515!

snow white

So recently I have felt a bit like snow white. Of course I have 3 cats, and over the past month this is what else I have encountered.... 1 mouse in the house 2 deer out in my side yard early in the morning, 1 howel of some animal at 5am while running to my car to get to the gym, 1 beaver, many bunnies and lizards and today I saw my first skunk very close and personal. I was laying out for an hour reading when I hear something in the woods and first thought, o the beaver is back.. WRONG! It was a skunk... so I decided that my time outside was not worth getting stinky over and moved inside to cross some chores off my list.
Today I have another meeting with a potential job opportunity and then its gym time with Alex and Kathy! I just LOVE the gym!! Its my favorite part of the day!

Building and such

So last night was very busy as I was coordinating a surprise party for Alex with her mom and husband. She had no clue and it was great. Thank goodness I dont have to hide anything from her anymore.. It was Killing me! I can keep secrets and stuff but this was hard because it was so exciting. Daniel and I had such a good time chatting and playing games (Daniel played). We met some really nice people and had a great time.
Today I started out building some more of the chicken coup. I was out there for 2 hours and put some of the flooring down, cut wood, measured, nailed, screwed, and made a door! Time just flew by and I had to stop because I ran out of screws. :( There is always next time and I cant wait! Before you know it, we will be having chickens.

What a find!

So.... Alex and I went walking around her neighborhood today and downtown and came across a 20 dollar bill! No houses around or anything and on one to see who had lost it so we win! So excited! Also, Riteaid has some good clearence items around thier store at 75% off. I got some hair bands and some free toothpaste along with other items. Also met Kathy early today at the gym. I made up a workout program filled with jumping jax, jump squats, squats with sholder press, lunge with bic curls, tri kickbacks, chest, back and abs. It was a total workout to complete the work week. Tomorrow Caitlyn and I are going to run 5.6 miles.

Not much in the Myers house

Not much going on here. A little of this, a little of that. I did go blueberry picking at my parents house yesterday with Val. So that was VERY exciting!! I have fresh organic blueberries to eat now! I also went out to lunch and shopping with Val and Mom. I got a swim suit for me and one for Alex. I tell you, all of those sporting goods stores rip you off for the cost of a swim suit! I mean 72 bucks for a speedo or nike swim suit that im just going to swim laps in?! I think thats a bit much. So off to Marshalls and TJ Maxx I went and was lucky to find some. :) We were not successful in finding a new purse for my mom :( Maybe next time.
On another note Daniel worked his butt off yesterday at the log house and rental house. He preasure washed the deck, washed the suburban, moved applianced from one house to another, cut down trees, and a bunch more. He is so helpful! My goal is for the inside cleaning to be done by this weekend and just plant some flowers next week at the rental house before we go to the beach for a few days.... hopefully we will have good weather and catch lots of fish! That would make Daniel and me very happy.

did someone say pole dancing??

That's right... I have mastered running, biking, swimming, along with other various activities and have taken up pole dancing..... JUST KIDDING! HA! But in reality I did take a pole dancing class last night with a bunch of girls for a batchelorette party. It was an hour long class and was somewhat difficult but that may have been because my back hurt so bad from my previous workout on Friday morning. Soooo we had fun doing the class and then went out to the bar afterwards for a while. So anyways after a exciting night I went running with Alex today for a 5 miles (some walking) and then went to the rental house to do cleaning for 4 hours and yard work too. After that I took a small nap and then went running with Caitlyn for 5.6 miles. Hills and everything! We were just spent after the last hill. It was by far the steepest hill I have ever run in my life. I felt like I couldn't get enough air in my lungs. If you want to get wild and crazy.. you can view the pictures of the night below... I am warning you though... there are a lot of dancing pictures.

hello goodbye....

So... last week Daniel and I got a new truck... 1991 truck that is like a BUS! Its a chevy suburban and its blue... so huge! Anyways we did this for a couple reasons... one being that we have this white truck that we thought would be able to haul the type of boat that we wanted in the future and well.. it wont. So we still need a truck to haul stuff back and forth to the rental houses and to our house for projects so we decided to get an old truck with no payments... So tomorrow we are bidding farewell to the white truck and CAR PAYMENTS!!!!!!!! HEhehehehe. It feels soo good not to have any. I will miss the truck some but not more than the car payments.

what a week

Im ready for a nap. Two days in a row getting up at 430 really does it to you. But it was fun. Kathy and I did a class on Thursday and today all the girls went swimming and then did circuit training with the Rush personal trainers... I will say that we sure did show them up! HA! I know they are trainers but they were slacking off big time. We were supposed to do a certain amount of reps and most of them didn't/couldn't complete it. I was like come on, bring it on! Anyways, us girls talked about it for a bit after the training and all agreed that our physical fitness levels were superb. :) After yesterday early morning class, then night weighs followed by a tiny 2 mile run and then this morning, I am ready to take tomorrow off.
I did fall asleep outside for all of 10 minutes earlier today and I must say that Oxygen magazine is my absolute FAV! It is so inspirational and motivational. I just wish they had a new one come out like every week! The magazine is all about eating clean and physical fitness. Nothing but good healthy articles that will make a difference in your life. (there are some adds in the mag, but who doesn't have those?) I still am not done and every time I finish the one for the current month, I cant wait til next month. I am also currently reading a book which is just a goofy novel about a girl who cant stop shopping. (Shopaholic and sister) I just started it but expect to be done soon. O.. Sweet Tea says hi to everyone... she is waiting very patiently and "needing" the couch telling me that she wants me to pet her (how cute) she is my little love bug.

A lot to think about

So yesterday started off with lower body weights and then turned int an interview with a company. They called me a couple hours after I left and offered me the job. I want to go and look at the community that I would be working in and on top of that I have another interview today! I just want my decision to be the correct one. I want to stick with a company for a good while and build a future.
So this morning, I got up at 430am.. thats right you read correctly. I met Kathy at the gym for bootcamp. ( my lower body still hurts from yesterday) So we "killed" ourselves in the class but it was real good to get it done.
So Val called me up earlier today and told me that Greensboro is flooded again! She was going to work earlier and had to stop because the roads were so bad. (she didnt want to get carried away)
So on today's agenda I have the TWC guy coming by to take a look at some wires that are around the house, then hanging out with Daniel since he is off, interview at 2, another meeting after the interview, maybe a nap, more job searching, and call it a day!

The last one!!

Well.... The last O'Donnell graduated highschool yesterday. YEAH!! I came prepared with a book to read because in my experience, these things can take a long time and half of the time you cant understand what the speakers are talking about. Anyways Caitlyn and I drove down together and back too. Thank goodness.. we were both very tierd. I had gotten up at 430 that morning to lift weights for an hour, then swim butterfly for an hour and then the dredmill for 20 min. Caitlyn and I couldnt stay long at the party because of us being so tierd so we left after a while but not before my Aunt Margee gave Val and me some kids clothes for the future. (I'm never one to pass up something free... esp kids clothes that are expensive!) Thanks Aunt Margee!! There is an array of boys and girls clothing so in the future sometime Val's and my kids will have something to wear. (its all very very cute stuff)

So today I was out again with Caitlyn and it hit me.... TODAY IS 8 PIECE'S BIRTHDAY!! He is 3 today!! My baby is growing up on me! I am currently waiting on Evan and Amy to come into town and go looking around the town for Amy to wear something to this wedding tonight. Also County Biscuit is being my knight in shining armor again.. he is protecting me from this hornet that is inside the house... I must go get a fly swatter today! I cant believe we dont own one!

on a high

So... earlier today I got a call from someone who wants to interview me! I am very excited and I am sure that I am not the only one who is being interviewed but my old boss actually got me the interview with his current company. So fingers crossed that everything clicks. The interview is on Tuesday!

Lots accomplished

So between yesterday and today, the rental house is looking GREAT! There still is some more cleaning but it really has come a long way from the first day I saw it. Minor injuries were brought on upon me but nothing that a bandaid cant fix. :) So we took down a bunch of the tree limbs and cleaned the bathroom floors, and really all of the bathrooms, cleaned kitchen floors and laundry room floor, and took out the range and range hood to the street. So tomorrow is more steam cleaning and other nick nack stuff.
After working hard at the rental I ran with Val 5.6 miles and then with Alex 3ish. I think I drank too much before my run with Alex because I got a cramp. So Daniel maked dinner tonight... mmmm. And CB hid under the couch because of the thunderstorm. He can be such a scardy cat. The best news that I got today was from my father... BLUEBERRIES ARE READY! Soooo excited!
dooo doo dooo do do do do do Wipe out is on! (well we taped it)

Mouse in the house! AHH!

Uggg..... so of course if you can see what time it is I should be in bed... sleeping! Instead Country Biscuit, Daniel and myself are on the search for the mouse that has invaded our space and isnt paying rent! On top of that he made his room in one of our drawers in our kitchen with MY VIVA papertowels! What a bum! So Monday all day CB was hanging out by the dishwasher which always means that something is wrong. So tonight I found my papertowels all scratched to pieces and then Daniel found the mouse's "room". Daniel went and got steal wool from the garage and put it where we thought the mouse was coming in because he had learned that about mice. All I could think about was... I'm sure Grandad would be proud of him for knowing this stuff.
So I fell alseep on the couch at the end of the basketball game when low and behold we hear a commotion in the kichen, knowing full and well what it was. Our hero CB caught that mouse. He was so patient for two days... the only problem was... he didnt kill it and now its somewhere in the house!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He ran all around the kitchen and dining room with that thing and then I guess I was so excited and Daniel was too that he lost his concentration. Prob battered and torn too! So here I am writing about this whole mouse incendent hoping and praying that CB gets it soon.. After all, thats his only job besides loving his parents and attempting to be nice to his siblings. And the worst part is that I have to get up at 530 for swim practice! Talk about ZERO sleep! AHHH the DRAMA!
So.... here we are on the hunt again in the Myers house! O and something even worse that Daniel doesnt know about right now is that is is pooring outside and he just spent 2 hours staining the deck... those weather people......

Did someone say dumpster dive?

Well... the day started off with a 3 mile run indoors with Alex followed by my freebies at cvs and walgreens. There isa free razer at cvs and free tin foil at walgreens. But before the day started out I must say that I love Summertime! But I HATE hairball season! I believe I have done a goo job "training" the cats to do thier business on solid ground ( vynol and wood floor) So I woke up today to find just a bit of a hairball in the HALLWAY (carpet) and then the rest in the laundry room (vynol) I think it was 8 piece because a couple times ago he did it and I praised him sooo much for going into the laundry room. I mean who wants to clean a carpet anyways? So tonight is brush night at the Myers house.
Back to the story, after my outing, I met Val for a quick 2 mile run then back to my house to get ready for the day. Anyways today Val and I got the idea of Dumpster diving for coupons... IT WORKED!! We only found a bit but who cares!! Maybe we will have to start to make it a ritual.. Who ever said that being fugal wasnt fun??

no sleep

As you know from the previous blog, I dont have a job anymore. So of course I have been all nervous and uneasy and of course upset over everything. I mean its not like I didnt sell 5 homes last month! So of course I think of the worst but hope for the best. I feel as though all the accomplishments that I want to complete are on the back burner. I havnt gotten any sleep the past few nights. Two hours here and there. I cant seem to get over that 2 hour mark. Of course all of this is coming from someone who counts her pennies. Thankfully we had a stockpile sale today and it made me feel a bit better over everything. Until that unemployment check comes into my bank account I get nervous. I want to make sure that I am doing it correct and I feel like the blind are leading the blind. I know we will be fine but its just so weird not having a job after all of those years during schooling I had at least 2, if not 4 jobs at one time.
But today Val and I went out to do some looking/shopping and I got some excellent deals at walmart. Bandaids for 2 cents each!!! Yeah for coupons! I took all of them!
Tomorrow is a run day with Alex and Val... I plan on 4 miles with alex and I dont know how long with val.

Coming from the horses mouth

Well... its official... I have no job. I guess I am one of the statistics these days! I was told earlier today in a meeting that my job has been eliminated. (more like I sold myself out of my community and the company didnt buy anymore land so there is no where for me to go) SO..... I have spent my day cleaning out my house/office in the community I was in, sent letters, email, voicemails, and talked to some on the phone and let them know I would no longer be serving them, met Alex for a pity party lunch at Panera (Thanks again Alex), mowed the grass right before the downpoor, filed for unemployment, cleaned my house, and the day isnt even over... still about 5 hours left. I prob will sulk some more for a while as I have never been laid off before. Its very very strange. I of course called EVERYONE I could think of to see if there were any under the table jobs avalible or full time or ANYTHING for that matter! So it hasnt been a total bust... just a blow to "the norm". O yes and I started the day off in the pool at 6am sharp with the workout girls.... now that I dont have a job who knows what other skills and scenerios I will overcome. :) Time to dust off that old resume! Wish me luck! I guess ill have more time to work on the chicken coop... by the way... its going up!! Ill have to get a pic later!
